1. How to Install Your Hair Topper

Getting a seamless blend with your natural hair is easy with these steps:

  1. Prepare your hair: Lightly tease the natural hair where the topper clips will attach to provide extra grip.
  2. Positioning: Open all clips. Place the topper about 1-2 inches behind your natural hairline for the most realistic look.
  3. Secure the clips: Lightly press the front clips down, followed by the side and back clips. Keep the base flat and tight against your scalp.
  4. Blend: Use a comb or your fingers to integrate your natural front hair with the topper’s hair.

2. Washing & Conditioning

  • Since human hair toppers and extensions do not receive natural oils from your scalp, they don’t need frequent washing. We recommend washing every 10-15 wears.
  • Step 1: Detangle. Gently brush with a wide-tooth comb starting from the ends and moving up to the root.
  • Step 2: Wash. Use lukewarm water and sulfate-free shampoo. Dip the piece in a basin—do not rub or twist the hair to avoid tangling.
  • Step 3: Condition. Apply a high-quality conditioner from the mid-lengths to the ends. Avoid the base/knots, as conditioner can loosen the knots and cause shedding.
  • Step 4: Rinse. Rinse thoroughly with cool water to seal the cuticles.

3. Drying & Styling

  • Air Dry is Best: Gently pat with a soft towel (do not wring). Place on a wig stand and let it air dry.
  • Heat Styling: Once 100% dry, you can use flat irons or curling wands. Always apply a heat protectant spray first. Keep the temperature below 180°C (350°F) to protect the hair longevity.
  • Restyling: Since it is 100% human hair, you can professionally color it darker, but we do not recommend bleaching or lightening as it may damage the hair texture.

4. Daily Maintenance Tips

  • Avoid Sleeping in Toppers: We recommend removing your topper before bed to prevent friction and tangling.
  • Storage: Store your hairpiece on a mannequin head or in its original box in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Brush Gently: Use a loop brush or wide-tooth comb. Always start from the bottom to prevent tension on the clips and base.
